At Bodegas Álvarez Alfaro we produce our Crianza, a wine that reflects the vibrant character of Rioja and our family’s dedication. It comes from vineyards over 30 years old, where the combination of soils, climate, and traditional varieties yield grapes with great personality.
The blend, 85% Tempranillo and 15% Mazuelo, is vinified separately in temperature-controlled tanks for 20 days. The wine then ages for 14 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing until it reaches balance and elegance.
In the glass, it shows a ruby color. On the nose, it is complex and expressive, with balsamic notes and hints of fresh red fruit that bring vibrancy. On the palate, it is round, structured, and creamy, with a long, silky mouthfeel, polished tannins, and a persistent finish that reflects the harmony between fruit and oak.
